How to play Bubble Shooter

Use a short break to learn the rhythm of Bubble Shooter. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

Build a steady rhythm

Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Notice how the game responds to your input.

Step by step

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Controls

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.

A useful example

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Notice the change in the playing area.

Watch out for this

Contact with a different colour is not a match. Check the rule before repeating the action. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
