How to play Golf Solitaire

Choose a round of Golf Solitaire and settle into its rules. Remove all 35 tableau cards. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Keep the instructions close while learning this activity. Look at what changes after your first action.

Build a steady rhythm

Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Remove all 35 tableau cards. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Start with a deliberate move.

Step by step

1. Take an exposed bottom card one rank above or below the waste top, allowing ace–king wrapping.
2. Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
3. Draw when useful.
4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Return to the rules if the result is unexpected.

A useful example

Waste queen accepts jack or king. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Consider the next action carefully.
